(Guthrie Co) Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Guthrie County Friday afternoon.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Tessa Steimel, of Churdan, was driving a 2019 Ford Fusion northbound on Highway 4 and stopped at a posted stop sign where Highway 4 and Highway 141 meet at an odd angle. Steimel proceeded onto Highway 141 and took evasive action to avoid being struck by a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox that was traversing a curve coming at the Fusion from the southeast. The Fusion struck the Equinox head-on.

Richardson was transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines by Panora EMS. A passenger, 71-year-old Susan Richardson of Coon Rapids, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines by Panora EMS with complaint of pain.
