(Atlantic) Today, the Atlantic boys’ golf team is competing at the Monarch Invitational Golf Tournament at Majestic Hills in Denison. Eleven teams entered the tourney: Atlantic, Estherville Lincoln Central, Shenandoah, Kuemper, St. Albert, Harlan, Glenwood, Carroll, Storm Lake, Denison-Schleswig, and Fremont-Mills.
The Trojans are coming off a solid performance on Friday in a dual win over Clarinda. Atlantic shot a season-best 147 for nine holes. They enter the tournament today with an 83-stroke 18-hole average.
The top five individuals entering the tournament with season-best 18-hole scores include Brody Sneed, St. Albert, 68; Ben Krohn, Kuemper, 69; Kayden Schon, Kuemper; Sam Brosam, Atlantic; and Hudson McLaren, Atlantic, 75.
