(Council Bluffs) A woman faces attempted murder charges following a shooting in Council Bluffs.
Council Bluffs Police Sergeant John Focht says 37-year-old Brandy Lashel Blake of Council Bluffs faces one count of Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony, and one count of Domestic Assault with a dangerous weapon, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
According to the press release, arriving officers learned Brandy L. Blake allegedly fired one shot from a handgun at a car in the alley near 32nd Street between West Broadway and Avenue A. The shot entered the vehicle and narrowly missed the lone occupant, who escaped injury. Sergeant Focht noted that Blake knew the male victim.
Authorities transported Blake to the Pottawattamie County Jail.
