Griswold School Board Approved 2025-26 Budget and School Calendar

(Griswold) The Griswold School Board approved the 2025-2026 Budget following a public hearing Monday evening.

Superintendent Dave Henrichs said for comparison purposes, currently their tax rate is $12.78 per one thousand dollars of valuation and the proposed budget next year will be $12.72, a six cent decrease.

Henrichs said their budget also includes an advance payment of $270,000 towards their GO bond, which was used to build the Elementary.

The School Board then moved into a public hearing on the 2025-2026 Calendar. There were no comments, and the Calendar was approved. Henrichs said for the most part, the calendar is pretty similar to the 2024-2025 Calendar.

The first day for students will be August 25^th.

The last day of school for seniors will be May 15, 2026 with graduation on May 17; the last day for the rest of the students will be May 22, 2026.
