(Atlantic) The City of Atlantic is gearing up for a Citywide Cleanup, scheduled for May 5 through May 9. This event is open to all residential properties within city limits and offers a great opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted items.
Electronics Disposal Available
Residents can drop off computers, laptops, and PC monitors at 309 Sunnyside during the cleanup days between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. For questions about electronics disposal, contact Randy’s Computer at 712-590-0083.
Curbside Pickup Guidelines
Volunteers will be collecting appliances and scrap metals, while city crews will handle the pickup of furniture, other household items, paper and plastic products, and wood scraps (under four feet in length). To ensure efficient pickup, residents are encouraged to separate items into designated piles.
Items NOT Accepted
Certain materials will not be accepted during the cleanup, including:
-Large construction debris
-Hazardous waste, paint, chemicals, or oil
-Items from businesses or commercial addresses
-Regular household trash (handled by your sanitation service each week)
-Automotive tires and batteries
-Televisions and stereo systems
-Yard waste and landscaping debris
Items from this list placed at the curb will be left behind, and the responsibility for disposal will fall to the property owner.

For residents who need help moving items to the curb, assistance is available. Call 712-243-5281 ext. 4 before April 30 to make arrangements.
