(Greenfield) On Friday afternoon, a large field fire destroyed outbuildings, an RV, and an unoccupied residence in Adair County. Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeremy Cooper tells KSOM/KS95 News the call went out around 2:00 p.m. for a grass fire around and crossed Highway 25 a couple of miles west of Orient and approximately eight miles south of Greenfield. Audio PlayerJeremy Cooper says the cause of the fire is unknown at the time of this release. Cooper says responding fire departments included Orient, Greenfield, Creston, Fontanelle, and Bridgewater, along with numerous tractors pulling tillage implements.
