(Council Bluffs) Council Bluffs Police responded to a shooting at the O’Face Bar at 2400 9th Avenue in Council Bluffs. Upon arrival, officers learned that a disturbance had taken place as the bar was closing, leading to a male suspect firing multiple rounds at the establishment and an occupied vehicle in the parking lot. While the gunfire struck no one, one occupant of the car sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a local hospital.
Investigators identified the suspect as 22-year-old TyJon Lamonn Edwards of Missouri Valley, Iowa. Arrest warrants were issued for Edwards in the late hours of March 23, 2025. The following day, at approximately noon, Metro Fugitive Task Force members located a vehicle carrying Edwards near 16th Street and West Broadway in Council Bluffs. Task Force members stopped the car and took Edwards into custody without incident.
Edwards was booked into the Pottawattamie County Jail on two counts of Attempted Murder, both Class B Felonies, and one count of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, a Class C Felony. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
