(Clarinda) Effectively immediately, the Page County Emergency Management Agency issued an open burn ban. The burn ban went into effect on Saturday. According to the social media post this open burn ban will remain in place until further notice. Officials remind residents, if you have done any burning in the last two weeks, please check them. Officials says a majority of the recent fires were rekindled from previous burns. They ask residents to to refrain from any open fires, discard smoking materials appropriately, and beware of machinery and vehicles in tall grassy areas.
