(Johnson County, Iowa) The driver of a van was killed when the vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-trailer on Interstate 80 in Johnson County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Wednesday on eastbound Interstate 80 near the 252-mile marker. Authorities say 34-year-old Enoch Z. Mampuya, of Holtham City, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the report, Mampuya, driving a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter Van eastbound on I80, lost control, entered the median, and struck an unoccupied 2021 Freightliner semi-and-trailer from a previous accident.
