(Guthrie Center, IA) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on Tuesday to amend their budget. The Supervisors added extra expenses of over 400,000 dollars – about 168 thousand for mental health which would bring in about the same in revenue. The money will come from general basic reserves which were at $2.9 million and now are reduced to $2.4 million. The budget amendment was open to public comment of which there was none and the supervisors passed the amendments unanimously. The supervisors also considered budget presentations from the County Auditor, Recorder and Treasurer. The current machines were purchased in 2018 and have been recommended to be changed.
