(Dubuque County) One person died in a car/semi accident in eastern Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 9:07 p.m. on Friday at Highway 51 and Monastery Road in Dubuque County. Authorities say the driver of a 2016 Nissan died at the scene. The name is being withheld pending family notification.
According to the report, the Nissan traveling westbound on Skyline Road failed to stop at Highway 51 and Skyline/Monastery Road intersection and was struck by a northbound 2011 Peterbilt driven by 22-year-old Cody Charles Wick of Gratiot, Wisconsin.
The accident is under investigation.
