(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa State Senator Michael Bousselot is proposing to purchase several Minnesota counties. He announced today that he’ll introduce a bill to buy the lower nine counties in Minnesota. Bousselot says the new residents can expect low taxes and a farm-friendly state. He also posted on X stating making Minnesota Iowa again and added Governor Tim Walz may say Iowa is just rocks and cows but we see opportunity. The locations include Fillmore, Freeborn, and Mower counties.
