(Audubon, IA) — Two Western Iowa Conference rivals battle tonight in a Boys Basketball match up as AHSTW visits Audubon, coverage on KSOM.
The Vikings have won 2 of their last 3 and perhaps played their best game of the season on Tuesday in a 66-55 win over IKM Manning. Luke Sternberg continues to lead AHSTW averaging 19.3 points a game but Head Coach GG Harris saw some big contributions from two other guys against the Wolves
Harris also emphasizes defense first and their D will be tested against a balanced offensive attack in Audubon
The Wheelers are led by Brody Schultes at 12.9 ppg, Carson Wessel hits at 10.1 and Aaron Olsen and Mason Steckler both average over 8 a game. And the rich get richer — Audubon has a strong inside presence and they get Austin Christensen back from injury tonight according to Head Coach Darran Miller
AHSTW had won 10 straight games in the series until Audubon won last year. This year the Wheelers have the better record but Miller says the Vikings have improved going into tonight
AHSTW is 2-5, Audubon is 4-4, game time tonight is at 7:30, coverage on 96.5 FM KSOM
