(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ basketball team secured its seventh victory on Tuesday night, winning 43-38 against Glenwood. The Trojans now have a record of 2-1 since the holiday break, with a loss to Shenandoah and wins over Creston and Glenwood. On Tuesday most of the Trojans’ points came from inside the paint, with Paytn Harter scoring 16 points and Katrina Williams contributing 15 points.
Coach Vargason emphasized the importance of shooting as the team prepares for their road trip to Kuemper on Friday night.
The Knights currently hold a 5-5 record this season and are scheduled to face Red Oak tonight. Elsa Tiefenthaler leads Kuemper in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game. The Trojans defeated the Knights 65-44 in their previous matchup on December 17.
