(Neola, IA) — Riverside wins the Western Iowa Conference title on Saturday, finishing ahead of Lo-Mag by 23.5 points. The Bulldogs had 4 champions — Davis Bramman (126) went 2-0 with 2 falls; Drew Anderson (132) went 2-0 with a fall and MD; Jaxon Gordon (150) went 3-0 with a fall, tech fall and major decision; and Jett Rose (165) went 3-0 with 2 falls and a major decision. Gaven Hackett (190) and Kingston Carrigan (120) finished in 2nd place in their classes.
Underwood had 4 champions — Lucas Bose (144) went 3-0 with 2 tech falls and a fall; Ryan Fletcher (120) went 3-0 with 2 falls and a TF; Avery Vacek (106) went 2-0 with 2 falls and Hayden Heun (190) went 2-0 with a fall and major decision. Second place finishes went to Grady Joens (215), Samuel Hulsing (165), and Will Buckholdt (157).
Brant Freeberg was the only champ for Tri Center at 138, going 2-0 with a fall and beating Kalab Kuhl of Lo Mag in the finals 6-5. Tucker Olsen was 2nd at 106.
For AHSTW, Kayden Baxter and Henry Lund both dominated the 175 and 285 pound classes respectively. Baxter had two tech falls and Lund was 3-0 with 3 falls.
For Audubon, no champions but Leyton Elmquist finished 2nd at 113 pounds
