(Atlantic) A public input meeting is scheduled for Wednesday on the City of Atlantic’s new comprehensive plan.
The comprehensive plan is the city’s guide for future development. This plan sets the basis for zoning and land use decisions to be made. Comprehensive plans should be updated every five years to ensure they remain accurate to the city’s goals and desires for the future.
An important part of this process is including input from the public and to help do that, the City of Atlantic and Southwest Iowa Planning Council will be holding a come-and-go meeting on December 18th at the Venue in Atlantic from 11:00am to 6:00pm where residents are invited to come and give their opinions and express their desires for the future of Atlantic.
Refreshments will be provided. All age groups are welcome to attend this meeting and there will even be some fun city planning-related kids’ activities.
