(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department released more information on the incident involving a loose trailer that struck two vehicles, a pole and a house Monday evening.
Eric Kardell, of Atlantic, was operating a vehicle, owned by Richter & Son Towing, towing a PUP trailer northbound on Olive Street. The PUP trailer came unhooked from the tow truck and continued traveling northbound striking a parked 2010 Dodge Journey, owned by Nichole Waterman, causing approximately $10,000 in damage. The trailer then continued down the street striking a parked 2022 Nissan Sentra S owned by Carroll Area Nursing Services causing approximately $10,000 in damage. The PUP trailer continued and struck a light pole causing approximately $2,500 in damage. The trailer came to rest after striking a house at 501 Olive, owned by Jason Cook, causing approximately $15,000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
