(Harlan, IA) — After two losses in a row, Harlan has gotten the rails back on track with a 49-7 win last week over Perry. Senior Lukas Francis had 14 carries for 179 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns to lead the way — the Cyclones grinded out 247 yards in rushing. Francis had been out for the last two games so his return to the line up was welcome to Head Coach Todd Bladt who feels his team really needed the win
Gabe Arkfeld was only 5-6 passing for 78 yards; Harlan really has not shown whether they are a run first team or a pass first team. Bladt says it really doesn’t matter they just have to move the football
This week is a tough match-up as the Cyclones host Nevada. Any hope at the playoffs and Harlan needs to win this one. Bladt does say his team is healthier than it has been all season and he says the key to the game will be in the trenches; Harlan will have to get physical to stop Cubs Tailback Anthony Eaton who has run for nearly 900 yards and QB Cooper King has thrown for nearly 900 yards
Nevada 5-1 visits Harlan 3-3.
