(Council Bluffs) A Council Bluffs man was sentenced to 220 months in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
According to court documents, law enforcement used a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine from 54-year-old Philip Duane Sales in the fall of 2023. On December 20, 2023, officers executed a search warrant at Sales’ residence, seizing approximately 70 grams of methamphetamine and cash, some of which was utilized during a controlled buy in October 2023.
After serving his prison sentence, Sales will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
