(Lewis) Cass County Conservation is gearing up for its 8th Biennial Lighted Halloween Campground, a family-friendly and non-scary event, set to take place on Saturday, October 19th, from 7-9 PM at Cold Springs Park in Lewis.
The Halloween Campground invites visitors to enjoy a free drive through creatively decorated campsites. In addition to the festive displays, prizes will be awarded for the top three voted sites, along with special recognition in select categories.
The event offers a unique opportunity for community members to participate by decorating a campsite. Those interested in contributing to the Halloween magic must sign up by October 11th. Participants will be allowed to decorate their campsites starting at noon on the day of the event. Free camping is available for those who decorate, though camping is not mandatory, and creative setups with tents or easy-ups are encouraged.
To get involved, contact the Cass County Conservation Office at 712-769-2372 or reach out via message or email. In case of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
