(Atlantic) Atlantic and Clarke square off in a non-district football game at Atlantic tonight. The Trojans are coming off a 48-30 win over Council Bluffs, Jefferson last week. Clarke opens their season tonight.
The Trojans bring a heavy ground attack to the game tonight, having rushed for 365 yards last week. Special teams played a big part in the score as well. Senior return man Jarrett Hanson had an electrifying kick return to the one-yard line last week.
The heat forced the Trojan camp to change its practice schedule. Hansen says they responded well to the change.
Hansen says the team focused on playing harder and practicing like they were going to play. The senior says switching to playing one-way rather than both on offense and defense showed its benefits last week against Council Bluffs, Jefferson.
