(Greenfield, IA) — Nodaway Valley has seen some turnover in recent years as the schools football head coach and this year a new face will be on the sidelines.
Joining Brad Honnold as a co-coach for the Wolverines is Jack West, originally from Davenport who came west to play college football and is entering his first head coaching position this fall
In 2020, West’s first season with Morningside, they went to the NAIA semifinals where they lost to rival Northwestern. A year later, they won the NAIA championship over Grand View. West has tutored under Steve Ryan, who has three career national titles and its Morningside’s all time leader in victories, a good coach to learn from
West will try to turn around a Nodaway Valley team that has lost 17 games in a row coming into this season. The Wolverines open up Friday, August 30 with a non district game at Clarinda.
