(Atlantic) There are still lots of fun events coming up in Atlantic this summer, even after RAGBRAI, the Cass County Fair, and AtlanticFest.
Kelsey Beschorner, Program Director for the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that the summer isn’t over. The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 16th, with the first AHS Alumni Banquet, hosted by the classes of ’79 and ’84 at the Cass County Community Center. On the same day, Discount Dayz begins. Many local businesses will offer great deals to help everyone prepare for back-to-school season.
On Saturday, August 17th, the AHS Alumni Smackdown Golf Tournament will take place in the morning at the Nishna Hills Golf Course and Atlantic Golf and Country Club. Following the tournament, a mingle and catch-up event will be called SmackDown After Dark, featuring food trucks, a beer garden, and live music performed by “Off the Fritz” at the Band Shell in Sunnyside Park.
