(Waukee) Officials say a man has drowned in a pond in Waukee. Several emergency teams responded yesterday afternoon after a man went into the water to help two boys retrieve one of their fishing poles — and began to struggle. After the boys called 9-1-1, a boat and several divers got involved in the recovery process. The man’s body was recovered Thursday evening. The victim’s name has not been released.
