(Pottawattamie County) Attention Pottawattamie County residents affected by the April 26th and May 6th tornadoes. As we transition into the intermediate phase of recovery, Pottawattamie County Officials would like to inform you that the rural tree debris staging site is now seeing a decrease in public traffic. The site will now be available on an appointment-only basis to maximize staffing efficiency.
If you have a tree and vegetative debris that needs to be dropped off, you can make an appointment by calling 712-328-5608 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm). Please schedule your appointment at least 2 hours between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Appointments can also be made for weekends but must be scheduled during the average work week. Please note that any appointment will be canceled if the resident is over 30 minutes late.
The county tree debris staging site will stop receiving debris on May 24th. Please remember that only vegetative debris will be accepted. Loads that include scrap metal, lumber, and other materials will be denied. The staging site is located at 145th Street and Rosewood Road, formerly the KOA Campground. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
