(Lincoln, NE) – Nebraska’s Mason McConnaughey has been named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week after an exceptional performance in the Huskers’ captivating victory last week.
The Husker pitcher pitched in seven innings in Nebraska’s 16-1 victory over Rutgers last week. He now has a record of 4-2 on the season while shutting out one of the top offenses in the nation of Rutgers. This marked the second quality start of the season and Nebraska’s second consecutive weekly honor after former Harlan Cyclone, Brett Sears, earned the honor last week.
Nebraska will return to action tomorrow, April 16th at home against Creighton with the opening pitch at 6:00 p.m.
