(Des Moines, IA) – Drake men’s basketball lost a lot of players to the transfer portal after former Head Coach Darian DeVries left for West Virginia. Current Head Coach Ben McCollum has started to bring in players to build a new team as Wyoming transfer Cam Manyawu has joined the Drake Bulldogs.
Manyawu will be joining the Bulldogs after just one year at Wyoming, averaging 7.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He started in nine games this season while playing in a total of 31 total games. Manyawu is now the fifth commitment since McCollum took over the Bulldog’s program.
The upcoming sophomore was ranked as the #9 prospect in Missouri and earned first-team All-State honors in the Kansas City Metro All-Star game. He had multiple offers including recruitment by Indiana State, another team that is rebuilding this season.
