(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a funding request from Avoca Main Street.
The funding, in the amount of $3,000, is for general operations of Avoca Main Street, Inc., a nonprofit volunteer-driven organization focused on community engagement, historic preservation, and economic development.
Amber Mohr, Avoca Main Street Director, said this is their 10th year as a Main Street program. Mohr provided information on the impact Main Street has had on the City of Avoca.
Mohr noted that their Farmers Market season is approaching and they will be accepting registrations soon.
