(Cleveland, OH) – Iowa’s Sharon Goodman has been named the recipient of the Elite 90 Award. This marks the second year in a row for the 2024 NCAA Division-I Basketball Championship.
The Elite 90 Award is founded by the NCAA which recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete to reach the National Championship level in his or her sport and their academic achievements among their peers. The Elite 90 Award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA Championships.
Goodman currently holds a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Health Studies and will be graduating in May. The Iowa native out of Lime Springs was honored with the award in Cleveland on Wednesday evening.
The senior and Iowa will return to action on Friday in Cleveland to take on the UConn Huskies at 8:30 p.m.
