Gerald Jensen (91), of Elk Horn, passed away March 27, 2024 after a short illness. He was the son of Soren T. and Mabel D. (Madsen) Jensen.
Gerald was born January 30, 1933 in Harlan. He grew up on his parent’s farm near Kirkman and graduated from Kirkman High School. He continued to farm with them until their deaths and then with his sister for another 20 years. He then lived at Little Flower Home in Earling and then at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.
He loved Popular Mechanics, Wheel of Fortune, Gene Autrey, cowboys, and jokes. He was a Lutheran and enjoyed attending devotional services at Salem.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold; and his sister, Marilyn. He is survived by 2 nephews, Gari (Denver, CO) and Jim (Broomfield, CO); and 4 great nieces and nephews, Cat (Denver, CO), David (Lakewood, CO), Andrew (Lindsey) (Broomfield, CO), and Laura (Denver, CO).
Memorial service will be April 3rd at 10am at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn. Interment in the Harlan Cemetery. Pauley Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
