Luise Brockhoff, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Harlan, Iowa on March 19, 2024.
Born Luise Gier in Baasem, Germany on February 23, 1933, to Aloysius and Maria (Keop) Anna Gier. She met her husband, Robert Brockhoff Sr, while he was in the US Air Force stationed in Germany. They were married on February 12, 1959, and had four sons.
In addition to her husband and parents, Luise was preceded in death by son, Wayne Brockhoff, and two brothers, Johannes Gier and Helmuth Gier.
Luise is survived by three sons, Robert Jr. (Naomi) Brockhoff of Minden, IA, Arthur (Kristina) Brockhoff of Avoca, IA, and Virgil (Kim) Brockhoff of Sergeant Bluff, IA., ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elfrieda (Gunther) Springer, Blankenheim, Germany, and Anita (Karl) Karoff, Peñiscola, Spain.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
