(Iowa City, IA) – Iowa Hawkeye and All-American, Caitlin Clark, has been known as one of the top talents on the floor this season and has led Iowa to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. While her focus is solely on the Hawkeyes, she has received national attention and even attention from other leagues.
Speaking of that national attention, Ice Cube has announced an offer for Clark to play in his Big3 League after her collegiate career. The deal being offered is for five million dollars to play in eight regular season games with two potential playoff games. The superstar has already declared for the WNBA Draft and is looking to go to the Indiana Fever in the first overall pick. If she does accept, two games will interfere with Fever game nights, so the deal may have to be worked out otherwise.
In a post made to X, Ice Cube stated, “We intended the offer to remain private while Caitlin Clark plays for the championship. But I won’t deny what’s now already out there: BIG3 made a historic offer to Caitlin Clark. Why wouldn’t we? Caitlin is a generational athlete who can achieve tremendous success in the BIG3.”
The Big3 League consists of former NBA players in a three-on-three format where they play a total of 10 games. We will have to see if Clark accepts the offer and how that would work this season due to the WNBA utilizing players in the United States and the Big3 playing games in the Bahamas.
