(Diagonal) Over the weekend, Atlantic High School’s Archery team won the team title in the Diagonal Shoot Out by shooting 3301 points. The Middle School squad also captured the team title by firing a score of 3201.
In the High School Division, Diagonal secured the second position with a score of 3225, followed by Creston in third place with 3202 points, and Orient-Macksburg in fourth place with 2925 points.
In the High School Boys’ Division, Atlantic’s freshman Grant Petty won the individual title with a score of 288. Hank Roberts finished fourth with a score of 278. In the Girls’ High School Division, Lily Johnson emerged as the winner with a score of 284. Elynor Brummer secured the second position with a score of 283, while Belle Berg finished in seventh place with 278.
In the Middle School Division, the Trojans emerged as the champions, securing the first position with a total score 3201. East Union secured the second position with 2933 points, followed by Indian Hills at third with 2918 points, and Creston at fourth with a score of 2782.
Wyatt Hoover led the Atlantic team with an impressive performance, securing the second position with a score of 287. Ryan Hackwell secured the fourth position with a score of 271, followed by Grady Roberts at fifth with 270 points. Callan Kluever and Jacoby Wood secured the seventh and tenth positions, respectively, both with a score of 267. On the girl’s side, Rylan Martin secured the first position with a score of 277, followed by Lucy Northwick in second with 273 points. Gabrielle Engler secured the sixth position with a score of 267.
In the Iowa Games 3D Tournament, Valley posted a high team score of 1672 to win the High School Division. Atlantic secured the second position with a score of 1645, Orient-Macksburg in third with 1606, and Nodaway Valley in fourth with 1452.
For Atlantic, Conner Johnson shot the top high school individually with a score of 293, Grant Petty secured the seventh position with 278, and Kyle Edie secured the tenth position with a score of 275. In the High School Girls’ Division, Lily Willrich finished fifth with a score of 265, Mariah Hadley secured the sixth position with 264, and Miraylie Stuart finished tenth with 258.
Nodaway Valley won the Middle School Division with a high team score of 1585, while Stilwell Junior High finished second with a score of 1524. Atlantic came in third with 1484, and East Union finished fourth with a score of 1393.
Wyatt Hoover from Atlantic secured the second position with a score of 273. In the girl’s division, Rylan Martin finished fourth with a score of 264, Paislee Klever secured the fifth position with a score of 262, and Talia Hoover came in seventh with a score of 253.
