(Madison, WI) – The Hawkeyes continue their winning streak into Big Ten play as they beat Wisconsin 87-65. Iowa has now beaten Wisconsin a total of 28 consecutive times in their series history.
Iowa’s Caitlin Clark played a total of 35 minutes where she scored 28 points, nine rebounds, and dished out five assists, just short of a double-double. With her performance today, Clark has scored 20+ points in 96 of 111 career games which marks the most in program history. Clark also keeps her three-point streak alive as she has 69 consecutive games with a three-pointer. Hannah Stuelke knocked in 21 points and pulled down three boards. This is the fourth game this year where Stuelke pulled in eight rebounds or more for a team-high. Kylie Feuerbach knocked in eight points while Sydney Affolter was able to put down seven points and pull in 12 rebounds. That win over Wisconsin was Bluder’s 35th of all time as she is 35-4 in her coaching career at Iowa. The Hawkeyes have also now won seven consecutive games after their only loss of the season to Kansas State.
On the opposite end, Wisconsin was led by Ronnie Porter who scored 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Serah Williams was right behind her with 15 points and eight rebounds, just short of a double-double. Sania Copeland finished off double-digit scoring as she knocked down 13 points on the afternoon. Wisconsin shot just 39% from the field while shooting just 4-20 at 20% from the perimeter.
Iowa shot 50% from the field while also shooting 41% from the three-point marker. The Hawkeyes also outrebounded the Badgers in the game 40-36 and in assists 21-13. The Hawkeyes will go on to play Cleveland State in their next competition on Saturday, December 16th at 7:00 p.m.
