(Atlantic) On Saturday, the Atlantic High School Archery Team opened the season with solid performances at Creston and Orient.
In the high school Division, Atlantic finished second in 3D at Creston and second at the Bullseye Tourney in Orient. The Atlantic Middle School Shooters captured the team title at the 3D Tournament in Creston and second at the Bullseye Tournament at Orient.
Grant Petty finished third in Bullseye in the high school division with 287 and 19 tens. Connor Johnson had the other top-ten finish. The junior shot a 279 with 15-tens. Shauna Anderson finished third in the girls’ division with 271 and 12 tens. Elynor Brummer, fifth, 271, eight tens; Madeline Blake, sixth, 270, nine tens.
Jacoby Wood posted a top-ten finish in the Middle School Boys Division with ninth place, 274. Rylan Martin finished third, 270, and Paislee Klever eighth, 261.

In high school 3D, Grant Petty finished runner-up with a 287 and 19-tens. Hank Roberts shot 282 with 20 tens; Michael Hocamp, sixth with 280 and 18 tens; Connor Johnson, eighth with 275 and 16 tens. Madeline Blake topped the girls’ shooters with a 268, 12 tens. Miraylie Stuart finished fourth with a 262, Kaydee Pedersen fifth, 261, 11 tens, Franchesca Gonzales seventh, 259, seven tens, and Mariah Hadley ninth, 258, with 14 tens.
In the Middle School girls division, Paislee Klever finished second with a 254, and Rylan Martin ninth with 235. Wyatt Hoover led the Middle School boys with fourth place, 275; Zane Welch, sixth, 273; and Jacoby Wood, ninth, 268.
