(Pottawattamie Co) Citizens packed the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors room this (Tuesday) morning for a public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 8 “Zoning Ordinance” by adding Wind Energy and Solar Energy Systems.

Meanwhile, Dean Krohn, of Avoca, said he farms around eight turbines in the Walnut area and he wanted to address the myths surrounding wind turbines.
The Supervisors continued the public hearing to Wednesday, November 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Oakland Community Building in Oakland.
Last week, the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors approved a temporary moratorium on Wind and Solar Energy Conversion Systems for 365 days, or until the Board completes its review and amendment of the Ordinance.
