(Creston) A Creston man faces attempted burglary charges.
Creston Police arrested 42-year-old Nicholas Edward Gieken in the 800 block of W. Howard Street, on a Union County Warrant for Attempted Burglary 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th (damage $300-750), and Criminal Mischief 5th degree (damage under $300). Giesken was taken to the Union County Jail and later released on $11,000 cash or surety bond.

On Friday, Police arrested 35-year-old Kayla Sue Hoffman of Creston at the Union County Courthouse for Theft 3rd-Enhanced because of two prior convictions. Hoffman was taken to the Union County Jail, transferred to Adams County, and later released on $2000 cash or surety bond.
On Saturday, Police arrested 31-year-old Kevin William Wessel of Greenfield at the Creston Union County Law Enforcement Center for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana 1st Offense, and OWI 2nd. Wessel was taken to the Union County Jail, where he was later released on $3000 cash or surety bond.
On Saturday, Police arrested 53-year-old Lisa Kay Foster of Creston at her residence on a Union County Warrant for Harassment 3rd Degree Communication. Foster was taken to the Union County Jail, where she was later transported to the Adams County Jail and held on no bond pending an appearance before a Magistrate Judge.
On Sunday morning, Creston Police arrested 42-year-old Amanda Marie Nelson of Creston at the Law Enforcement Center for OWI, 1st offense. The Officer cited Nelson and released her on a promise to appear.
