(Council Bluffs) A man from Nebraska was killed in a vehicle vs pedestrian accident in Council Bluffs.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says the accident happened at 6:47 this (Friday) morning at the one mile marker of the I-80 westbound Express Lanes. A 36 year old male from Omaha was walking on the I-80 express lanes when he was struck by a 2020 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 44 year old female from Council Bluffs. The male subject was declared deceased at the scene. The female driver was uninjured.
The roadway was closed and traffic diverted to the local lanes for approximately four hours. This incident remains under investigation and the names are being withheld at this time.
