(Area) Steele McLaren, of Atlantic, is paying it forward and hosting a benefit for Grace Pauley, of Shelby.
Grace Pauley was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident in September and is currently in rehab at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Omaha. Steele knows exactly what Grace is going through, as he suffered a serious head injury in an accident in October of 2020.
Steele said the community rallied around him, and his family, and hosted a number of fundraisers to help them out. So, now he wants to pay it forward.
Steele has not met Grace, but he prays for her every day. He has this message for her family.
The Benefit for Grace Pauley will be held at the Walnut Community Center (415 Antique City Drive in Walnut) from 4 to 7 p.m. this Sunday.
