(Guthrie Center, IA) – ACGC continues to remain undefeated this season after their 35-31 win over IKM-Manning last week. The Chargers are looking at the main scope of the season and not scoreboard-watching, rather they are just going into every game with the motivation to get better.
Chargers’ fullback Mike Fuller has been dealing with a minor injury and will be on the sidelines this week. Fuller has averaged 80 yards a game and is second on the team in touchdowns with seven. Jackson Pfrang will be stepping into the fullback role this week as he has been playing a defensive role for ACGC in previous weeks.
Head coach Cody Matthewson has been more than pleased with how his offense has been performing this season. The rushing game of Jathan South and Anthony Solorzano has been a big combination of big-time plays for the Chargers.
ACGC may be undefeated this season, but even Patrick Mahomes has to practice his throws. They are looking to improve on playing with the motion and executing at a higher level.
This week, ACGC will be taking on Mount Ayr in a non-district matchup. The Raiders lost their last game to Lynnville-Sully last week as they fell 23-16. Like ACGC, they rely on their rushing game as both Tyler Martin and Tate Dugan have rushed for over 400 yards each this season.
ACGC will travel to Mount Ayr Raider Stadium to face off underneath the lights with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
