(Shambaugh) The Page County Sheriff’s Office released more information on a fatal house fire in Shambaugh.
On September 18, the Page County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a house fire at 409 Cinder Alley in Shambaugh. The Clarinda and Braddyville Fire Departments extinguished the fire. During the investigation, a human body was found in the fire. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office where an Autopsy was performed. The body recovered from the fire was found to be that of 63-year-old Jimmy Wayne Blank of 409 Cinder Alley, Shambaugh. The Autopsy indicated that Blank died as a result of smoke from the fire.
The State Fire Marshal along with Clarinda and Braddyville Fire Departments investigated the cause of the fire.
