(Atlantic) The Cass County Auditor’s Office released an updated list of candidate filings for the November 7 school and city elections.
Emily Kennedy has filed papers to run for the Atlantic Ward 1 City Council Seat.
Two more candidates have filed papers for Lewis City Council, including Roy O. Wheatley and Betty F. Auten, and Micah Lee and Adam McCunn filed papers for Massena City Council.
No candidates have filed for the two (2) positions of Wiota City Council or the Wiota Mayor.
Candidates now have until Tuesday, September 26, 2023, to withdraw by filing a written request to the Auditor.
Absentee ballots can be requested; they will be mailed on October 18, 2023 (the last day to request a ballot by mail is October 23, 2023)
In-person voting begins October 18, 2023, in the Auditor’s Office
School Candidates will be released today at around noon. Their withdrawal deadline is the same as the city candidates.
