(Greenfield, IA) – Nodaway Valley is just looking to go out, play, and learn on the field. The Wolverines have struggled in recent years and Head Coach Brad Honnold knows that he has a lot of work to do with his team. However, he has athletes who put all their effort forward in every game and as it may not show on the stat sheet, it shows in their effort and improvement over time.
The defense has continued to improve for Nodaway Valley. Trent Warner had 7.5 total tackles in the last game with 2.5 tackles for loss in their 46-0 loss to Woodward-Granger.
As the team is still looking for their first win, the athletes are still motivated and believe in the system. Coach Honnold knows that it has been quite some time since a win has happened for this team, but he is proud of the intensity and the motivation that he has seen in his athletes to work harder and improve.
Nodaway Valley will be traveling to South Hamilton tonight as the Hawks are coming off a 56-8 victory over West Central Valley. The Hawks rely primarily on the rushing game as they rushed for a total of 512 yards with a total of 10 rushers in the last game. They will be a tough team to beat, but the Wolverines are going in with small goals to get back on track.
The game will be at South Hamilton High School’s Taylor Field with a kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
