(Farragut) A Fremont County child suffered critical injuries in a fireworks accident at a rural Farragut residence.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office received the call at around 8:09 p.m. on Saturday. The 11-year-old boy was transported to the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to a trauma center in Omaha.
Farragut Fire and Rescue, Shenandoah Fire and Rescue, and the Iowa State Patrol assisted the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
