(Harlan, IA) – The Cyclones have won two straight games after last week’s win over Glenwood. If you were ever looking for a storybook ending, the Cyclones handed you one on a silver platter. As time was expiring in the fourth quarter, Harlan marched down and kicked a field goal to end the game and beat Glenwood 17-14. Head Coach Todd Bladt was proud of his team’s resiliency to come back and win that game.
Harlan has relied on multiple running backs so far this season. With a total of eight players who have had a carry so far for Harlan, the Cyclones are still looking for their main running back this year. Tonight is the night for somebody to step up and be the threat in the offensive game that Harlan needs.
The Warriors have a warrior with Zayvion Ellington as he has rushed for a total of 505 yards and has earned five touchdowns on the season. Ellington has also earned 11 tackles and one interception on the season to top off his stats. They also rely on Ryan Hoffman who has thrown for 362 yards and two touchdowns. Coach Bladt knows that it will be a challenge to slow down these two tonight.
Harlan is looking for their special teams to improve in terms of the kicking game and execute better on their offensive and defensive lines to eliminate the problems that they have been facing so far.
Harlan will host Sergeant Bluff-Luton tonight, with a kickoff at 7:00 p.m. KSOM will be LIVE with Zach Collins and Austin West on the call, with a pregame show at 6:30 p.m.
