(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to 915 North 21st Street (Pirate Cove Water Park) at 7:01 this (Monday) morning where a deceased juvenile male was found in the pool.
An investigation revealed that an employee of Pirate Cove arrived for work in the early morning hours today (Monday) and located the victim in the deep end of the pool. The pool was closed for the season and was not open to the public during the past weekend. Investigators believe that the victim jumped the fence and gained access to the pool. It is believed that the victim entered the deep end of the pool and accidentally drowned. The boy’s family has been notified.
The victim, who was 12 years old, recently began attending Wilson Jr. High School in Council Bluffs. No further information on this incident will be released.
