(Atlantic) Over 200 golfers participated in the 9th annual Atlantic Alumni Smackdown Golf Tournament in Atlantic on Saturday. Tournament Director Kevin Ferguson says over 60 teams of Atlantic High School graduates from 1967 to 2020 participated in the Tournament. The Tournament was held at Nishna Hills Golf Course and Atlantic Golf and Country Club.
The one-day golf event expanded into a smackdown after dark at Sunnyside Park.
The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce put on the event featuring a beer garden, organized by the Atlantic Fire Department, food vendors, and the Classic Rock Band “On the Fritz” played at the band shell. The event is free and open to the public.
