(Des Moines) A steer show at the Iowa State Fair helps raise money to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Iowa. The Governor’s Charity Steer show is partnered with the Iowa Beef Industry Council and The Iowa Cattleman’s Association. Last year they raised over 400 thousand dollars. The Ronald McDonald House helps find families a home, transportation, and care bags and offers free meals. There are three Ronald McDonald House Charity chapters in Iowa.
