(Des Moines) An active weather pattern in the northern plains brings a chance for severe weather over the next several days in southwest Iowa. Alexis Jimenez with the National Weather Service in Des Moines says strong winds will be the main threat with these storms.
Jimenez expects the storms to move through the area after 9:00 p.m. Jimenez says showers and storms are forecast again on Friday, and Saturday, and, strong to severe storms are forecast for Sunday, with the main threats damaging winds and large hail.
