(Creston) The Iowa State Patrol released the names of the driver and passenger involved in the fatal crash on Saturday night in Creston.
According to State Police, the passenger, 27-year-old Young Seok Moon of Creston, died from injuries in the accident. The driver of the car, 26-year-old Myung Jo Kang, was air-lifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
The Iowa State Patrol stated the accident happened around 9:45 p.m. Saturday at 315 Sumner Avenue. The 2001 Ford Mustang driven by Myung Kang lost control near Sumner and Howard Streets. The car struck two parked vehicles, vaulted, struck the front of two houses at 315 Sumner Avenue, and came to rest on its top.
The Creston Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.
